b'T3 Journal - Student Writing in Drama, University of Exeter 2018-19When I interviewed Mark Wallis, he summed up this impossibility of authenticity in a few words: We cant think like these people. We can never be those people physically (Wallis, 2019). It is beyond the scope of this document to detail the semantics of the word authentic, but it is valuable to understand how the word can be interpreted in many different ways. This dissertation employs the word in relation to a visitors experience, and the perceived realness of that experience.Donnis, E. and Wilkening, S. (2008), Authenticity?
